So, do we get the May recruitment numbers today?

Today is the day that we're supposed to get the May recruiting numbers. It's coming on to 3 p.m. on the West Coast, and I can't find them anywhere. Anyone heard anything? After all, we know they delayed releasing the numbers and adjusted the quotas downward, but it wasn't because the numbers were bad, so stop saying that.

4. I heard it was 5000 out of the reduced goal of 6700. If they had

remained at 8000...well you do the math. Anyway, they missed again.

They said the delay had nothing to do with abysmal numbers or falling short of quotas or anything like that. The military wouldn't lie to the American people, would they? You know, the American people who are jettisoning their pensions, their health care, infrastructure building and maintenance, every other item in the federal budget, AND sending their sons and daughters off to die in Iraq? The military and the government that commands it wouldn't lie to those American people, would they?

7. I blame myself, I'm only out there once a week putting brochures for the

Army under windshield wipers of any vehicle with a pro "W" bumper sticker.

Guess I need to up my efforts to get those fresh repug bodies in the war zone!!
