1. Do you really think they care?
I don't, I think it will just blow right past them like everything else these fascist pigs have done has. Michael Jackson's fate hangs in the balance in California, you know? Americans have their priorities skewed beyond belief. I hope I'm wrong, I really, really hope I'm wrong. I hope Americans DO GIVE A SHIT, but I doubt it.

3. First they have to know about it.
If it doesn't make the news, they won't know. Most don't watch C-Span.

10. Of course they don't care
They're all probably patting him on the back. And of course he'll spin it around that they were talking about nothing dealing with the Patriot Act and it was all the democrats fault cause they scheduled it. He made certain to mention that that meeting was all the democrats fault on the comitte in the video.

2. I understand from the Randi Rhodes show that the democrats...
...as a result of attempting to get witness testimony on the Patriot Act this morning, not only had their meeting shut down by Chairman Sensenbrenner this morning, who disallowed numerous witnesses who were in the hearing to given testimony of Patriot Act abuses, but after the hearing, had petitioned to disallow house democrats to again exercise the special rule which gives the minority the right to call hearings and witnesses that the majority does not want to appear.

That's what I heard and if the republicans are in fact allowed to suppress such testimony at will, then our democracy in effect has been shut down.

7. "Then our democracy in effect has been shut down"...
...that actually took place in December 2000 when the Supreme Court chose Herr Busch as the first American Dictator.

Everything that has happened since that point in time has been toward the consolidation of the NeoCon Junta's power in the US, and the projection of our military power abroad. Their goal is global domination by use of all political, economic, and military means available.

4. From what I am starting to feel
that the American public will fall in three categories

1) Politically active Democrats that are outraged
2) Politically active Republicans that are giving Sensenbrenner "attaboys" as we speak
3) Average Americans that do not understand the significance of what happened.

We are, in essence, fucked.

9. If you lose hope, then nothing will change...

...and I think things are starting to turn the tide on the Republicans. Maybe it will take more than this, if so, we needn't worry.

8. Well, then...
The violence in our streets is not too far off, is it?

The rough beast is slouching towards Babylon.

11. We must hope not!
I still cling to the hope we can do this without any bloodshed. As I type this I think of the quote "the tree of liberty must be watered from time to time with the blood of patriots"-T. Jefferson
