Bush won’t offer Iraq concessions--MSNBC.com
http://www.msnbc.com/news/965704.asp?0cv=CA01

The idiot doesn't get it. You can't have a functional foriegn policy without making concessions. "It's our way or the high way" was what scared the world off in the first place. They aren't going to follow this man tomorrow when he speaks to the UN. He just doesn't get it. His Pax Americana dream will never be attained. He needs to make room for someone who actually knows how to win the war on terrorism.

2. No, but with any luck, we'll get quite a TVspectacle...
Many of the delegates present should get up, turn their backs to Dub...and moon him! :eyes:

B-)

In a continuing effort to also display annoying, bandwidth-eating photos of my preferred candidate.

4. More soldiers are going to die as a result
Troop deaths are the bargaining chips, and Bush is willing to gamble 140,000 lives for the security of "his" oil. Giving him a blanket and pacifier would be a heck of a lot cheaper.

6. He won't make concessions?!?
He's in no position to dictate the terms of UN involvement. How can this idiot truly believe he's doing other countries a huge favor by "allowing" them to commit troops and money to Iraq in exchange for nothing?

Georgie thinks he's holding a Royal Flush, but in reality he's got a pair of twos.

8. He knows he's not getting anything...
...without publicly eating crow and without abandoning the PNAC agenda, so he's not even going to try.

The UN delegates can just go home. This speech is raw meat for Bush's domestic base, staged as "confronting the lion in its den".

10. He's Really Dangerous Right Now because
he's only listening to what he wants to hear, like he's always done all his life. Except now he's really listening to the crap. He's got lots of sychophants telling him he's the greatest military leader of all times. I'll bet he even says to himself, that he's greater than Caesar, Alexander, after all, isn't this what they really did, just give the orders. They didn't really fight, did they?

The more the man is exposed, the harder they dig their heels in. I really resent the face this man is putting on our America.

Why is he giving the UN speech if he's not asking for help? Is he going to wag his finger in front of the UN and tell them they have a responsibility to help Iraq?

This whole administration is like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

11. You're right, he is dangerous
He is being ridiculously stubborn and close-minded, which is a real threat to our security. Right now, are allies are pissed off at us. How long will it be before they truly turn against us? Does anyone else fear it's only a matter of time before he orders the UN out of the US?

This is no longer about Democrat or Republican, Liberal or Conservative, pro-war or anti-war. It's about the survival of everything this country ever was. I'm fed up with Congress sitting back and doing nothing simply because Bush is a member of their party. They weren't elected to serve their party, they were elected to serve us, yet all they do is give Shrub a free pass. Don't these idiots realize that their children and grandchildren are going to be condemned to life in a non-Democracy? I know the Neo-cons are looking forward to it, but why are the moderate Republicans and the "true" Conservatives keeping their mouths shut?

Yes, I know I'm preaching to the choir on this one ... I just needed to vent a little.

12. There's a reason the Europe is forming it's own military alliance
separate from NATO. Yes, he is turning our hardcore allies against us, and they are preparing for a future without the US and without NATO.

19. if you act as if you did nothing wrong
Edited on Mon Sep-22-03 02:55 PM by Marianne
and forcefully behave as if your actions actually are the right thing, people will eventually believe it--as with the subtle connections with Saddam being responsible for 9-11. This is an act--it is the act of a bully and it is a calculated act. What with the media we have kissing his ass, he will pull it off. I predict that in a month or so, we will see some stories of how Bush was right "after all"

He is a shallow, ignorant and dumb, evil man without a scintilla of a conscience--when in his mind he can kill thousands of innocents to get profit for his business buddies and thsoe of Cheney, when he can declare he was actually right to kill those thousands and to lie to do it, he demonstrates his sociopathic, sick personality. Bush is evil in every way--he smells like evil and he looks like evil.

21. UN won't give him anything
Edited on Mon Sep-22-03 02:54 PM by WorstPresidentEver
He's going to prance pose and strut around pretending to be a tough guy because what's left of his base likes that sort of thing. The UN won't give him what he wants eve if he says "pretty please", because they want us to be stuck in Iraq, as if we're not stuck in Iraq he might start another war somewhere else. Its about containing the loonies until the US gets a sane administration.
