4. Why would he be afraid of little howard dean?
Dean is an insect compared to them, what with control of the House, Senate, all three branches and oops-- They still don't have control of the legislative branch.

Hmmm I guess they could be afraid of them.....Somebody's shouldering the tide that's coming.... :wow:

5. But Dean has control ...
of the people. Well ... "control" is not an accurate description - but he does have an amazing ability to rally the people and get them involved in the process. That's not something dictators like to see.

6. Not so much afraid as highly annoyed and irritated.
I think Dean is a thorn in their side, like a thorn in the paw of a lion, said thorn causing a great infection, leading to the lion limping in pain, the infection leading to gangrene which eventually causes the paw to fall off, leading to the lion being attacked by its own tribe, eventually resulting in a new head of the tribe. Hopefully a new head with the best interests of the tribe at heart.

Yeah, something like that.

9. You mean like, in a fistfight?
Bush is well known as a personal coward, like most bullies. I'd love to see a Gladiator duel between those two.

As for being afraid of Dean politically... it sure is pretty to think so, but I don't think so. Bush is afraid of John Conyers, Chales Rangel, John Kerry. Politically, their biggest threat aren't the rotweiller types, but the bloodhound types who will get on their trail and not let up. They aren't afraid of someone rallying the public against them because they are too in control of the media and the voting process. They are afraid of someone finding the bodies and exposing actual crimes.

Not saying that's what they should be afraid of. Dean could very well surprise them. But I'll bet right now if you tapped Rove's office, you'd find that they love the little circus Dean is putting on. They aren't afraid of Dean, because they aren't afraid of the voters.

Not yet, anyway.

13. Dean's not a rotty
he's a pitbull. He attacks and doesn't let up.

This is only the beginning.

It's going to be like that one dude a few years back who put his wife in the wood chipper: they'll be lucky to find 1/1000th of the corpse when it's all said and done.
