Conservatives are TERRIFIED....
Of Wesley Clark!!!!!

Look at how many smear articles are being written, and how much time and energy the right wing pundits are spending trying to discredit him. Drudge is obviously obsessed with Clark, just check out his site, novak just tried to smear him, Evil Ann bashed him on Hannity and milksop the other night, and the list goes on.

Interestingly enough they usually try to say something good about Dean, every time they try smack Clark, hmmmmmm I wonder what their strategy is.

(Settle down Deanies, I like Dean as well, I just think Clark is our BEST chance to win in 04.)

1. As a Deanie, let me say
You're 100% right-on. This is doing my heart good. I'm hoping for a Dean/Clark ticket, obviously. :) But I'm more than happy to support Clark should he get the nomination.

5. I'm starting to see a Clark/Dean ticket
Edited on Mon Sep-22-03 02:43 PM by maggrwaggr
whether I like it or not, that's how (at the moment) it seems like it's gonna shape up.

Hey, if it gets Bushco out of power, so be it. I'll take Clark over Bush any day of the week.

I just hope he prosecutes the junta and sends them all to jail.

And conducts a full investigation of 9/11.

6. I'm also hoping for a Dean/Clark ticket
Team these two up, and then we'll really see some terrified repubs. I think together, they'd be unstoppable.

13. I'm still convinced...
....that Clark's entry is just to draw attention to the Dems. He isn't going to finish the run for President, and will go with Dean as VP.

Just a hunch. I know what's been said, I've heard it all. It's just a hunch.

17. it does but
as a party helping strategy it is less than credible for cash strapped Dems. He's obviously a serious candidate and the primaries are for real and will determine the fate of his bid.

Fantastic effect on the GOP hate machine. I wish we had more gut punches to give them.

4. to me
just because the Republicans might be afraid of him (afraid of their own voting for him) does not make me like him more.

9. There's no difference between Bush and Clark?
You think Clark would be just as bad as Bush? Just the Naderites said there was no real differnece between Bush & Gore. Does anyone really still beleive that now?

11. Show me a link where Nader said that there was no difference between
Bush and Gore. I heard him say the two main parties have become almost the same thing but I never heard him say Bush* and Gore were the same. There is a huge difference and I happen to agree with him in the most part. Yes Gore and Bush* are two entirely different people and would behave differently but the Democratic party as a whole has left me wanting. I find little in what they have done lately that actually seperates them from the republicans. Hell they voted for most of Bush*'s agenda. Where is the difference? When they start behaving as an opposition party then maybe I'll think twice but until then there isn't a lot of difference being demonstrated.

14. He said it as sure as Bush said Iraq was involved in 9/11
Edited on Mon Sep-22-03 03:30 PM by Democat
To say that Nader didn't try to push the idea that there was no difference between Bush and Gore is like saying that the White House didn't push the idea that Iraq was involved in 9/11.

It was Nader's 2000 platform, whether he specifically stated those exact words or not.

Ralph Nader tried to convince Americans that there was no difference between Bush and Gore.

We all know he was dangerously wrong.

8. The Repressive Right has finally gone barking mad
Not that it was a very long trip in any case, but the prospect of their dreams of world domination crumbling away has rendered many of them incapable of rational or coherent thought. They gambled much and will lose it all.

10. A caller to C-Span the other morning said
"Clark put the NATO flag above the American flag. That's why Clinton had to fire him." Where do people get bullcrap like that? Only from Talent-on-loan-from-God, LimpBalls. This is what we are going to be hearing from now till election day and beyond.

12. they've had little better to do than load their guns and wait
besides, you learned this in high school. For every action (Clark's white horse ride into the ring) there is an equal but opposite re-action (well correographed campaign to show him in an unfavorable light).

And it seems that pretty much everyone is throwing darts at him except the former President, his longtime pal.

Who would have guessed he'd be in the lead in a week?

Great news for all Americans!

16. This will probably backfire on them too
All this negative press is probably not going to stick to him, for one, and for two it will show the voting public what the GOP is REALLY about, especially since Clark has thus far refrained from any kind of bashing on Bush that was not issue-related. All these personal attacks will shoot the GOP in the foot if they aren't careful. If they want to do that though, more power to them!
