Contractor accuses Marines of abuse in Iraq

RENO, Nev. - Security contractors were heckled, humiliated and physically abused by U.S. Marines in Iraq while jailed for 72 hours with insurgents, one of the detainees said Friday.

Raiche said his colleague told him that a guard then reached down and “squeezed his testicles so hard he could barely move.”

When Raiche first arrived at the facility, he said a guard ordered him to the ground and put a knee in his back. He said he heard one Marine say, “How does it feel now making that big contractor money?”

I guess if I was a marine who believes he is defending his country, I'd be pissed off at these Scum bags Mercs who are profiteering off this mess.

2. Why would Marines be angry at high paid mercs? Gee, I wonder...
Maybe cuz the mercs are not to careful about shooting at Marines?

<snip> Iraq's interior ministry said yesterday it wanted to impose legal boundaries on the private security business after American contractors twice opened fire on US marines.

<snip> The marines say one of their combat teams came under fire from guards in a convoy of four-wheel-drives belonging to Zapata Engineering, a firm based in North Carolina that is involved in reconstruction projects.

<snip> A marine observation post was fired at three hours later by the same convoy, according to Lt Col Dave Lapan, a marines spokesman.

So, we have underpaid, under supplied, over extended troops who are finding out their CIC lied to get the war on facing off with private corporation mercs getting big bucks and thinking they can do what they damn well please. Gee, can't for the life of me understand how a Marine trying to bring some order might get a bit pushy with a merc working for anarchy.

America wake up! The war was started for profit by the companies hiring guns to make thing worse for US troops AND innocent Iraqis. Take those useless yellow ribbons off your cars and take to the streets to force accountability and withdrawal from an illegal invasion staged for war profiteers! Take some REAL ACTION to support the troops!
