High unemployment also keeps wages low -- more people fighting for fewer jobs.

You think the military and low wages, are not a corporate republican planned agenda?

You bet it is!

That why it's always the same no matter what republican is president.

Just look up the facts for yourself...

1. As Machiavellli said
men do not want to fight when things are going well for them. It is much easier to get them to fight if conditions are miserable. (Mind you I'm paraphrasing)

3. But people aren't stupid
I've heard more than one say that joining the military is not worth it, with the knowledge you'll be deployed to a war zone again and again, with poor health care and benefits. I think some would rather live on the streets than join up. The fact that recruiting numbers are way down proves my point on this, I think.

4. Marty Kaplan
He was so on point today. He basically asked the question "Isn't it in the Bush administration's best interest to have a tankering economy." The worse the economy, the more recruits they get.

And he's absolutely right. I wouldn't be surprised if Bush is purposefully trying to move more people into poverty, just to beef up the number of people signing up for the military.

5. Of course
This is why Bush has tax cuts for the wealthy. To drain us as a country and why he's doing nothing about the jobs going over seas. This way he doesn't have to have a draft and his followers can still kiss his feet.

6. I have the feeling this could be Impeachable if Bush is linked to this
Could RW'ers be sabotaging the Economy to turn the U.S. into a Military State?
