Isn't it time for us to reject this representation and everything it implies?

I've never been comfortable with the term and resist (no pun) using it... My feeling, as with other RW buzz words is that it supports the RWs mis-framing of an issue.

Wrong! Insurgents just fight those who have taken over. Like rebellion. Hmph!

screw the actual definition of the word and think in terms of the mind-fuck (in - surge) coupled with all the talk of Syrians and Iranians etc.

Also how many people can say that they've actually looked the word up?
