Schimpanski is still firmly in place. While he is the most impeachable president in history (imo) he's also the least likely to be impeached. As was pointed out in the recent Salon article about impeachment prospects, the process is a political one with legal overtones, not a legal one with political overtones.

This House will NEVER vote to impeach Schimpanski, even if (when?) it's proved he kills and eats young boys at Crawford barbecues.

He will go down in history as one of America's worst, and the rest of us will be loathed by the rest of the world and spend our lives trying to rebuild the America he tore down, but he's going to finish out his second term.

And probably, in his own mind, think he served with honor.
