CHENEY has spoken: NO plans to close Gitmo

WASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney said Sunday there are no plans for now to shutter the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay where terrorism suspects are held.

"The important thing here to understand is that the people that are at Guantanamo are bad people," he said. (Note: Well, his wife also called John Kerry a "bad person", but I digress.)

"I mean, these are terrorists for the most part. These are people that were captured in the battlefield of Afghanistan or rounded up as part of the al-Qaida network," he said in an interview to be aired Monday on Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes."

1. Plan. Since when do they plan?
Not having a plan is SOP.

2. It's always best to get information directly from
the man behind the curtain.

3. If They Closed Gitmo, It Would Be Like Admitting They Have Made ...
a mistake, and you will never here that from this arrogant administration.

4. But how many people are going to think it IS closed, since that
story was floating around?

How many people think that Abu Ghraib is closed?

6. Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes
Well that should be the end of that controversy. I mean they actually have a "liberal" on that show who occasionally says "May I kiss your ass sir, and how much tongue would you like?"

7. Huh?
"I mean, these are terrorists for the most part."

For the most part? So what percentage aren't? Are we going to hold THEM indefinitely, without access to a lawyer or a writ of habeas corpus?
