How would you compose a letter to a conservative Congressman re: DSM?

It's much more difficult than writing to a Democrat since you don't have to persuade him/her that Bush has been lying. My Congressman is nothing but a Bush lapdog, backing him 100% on everything. It's probably a waste of time to write to him, but I'd like him to know that not all of his constituents agree with him. I'm guessing it would be best to remain polite rather than confrontational.

Thoughts?

PS - He's running for governor in 2006 instead of the House

Bush is at the bottom of the barrel and congress is lower.

The truth will eventually find its way to the public,and if you don't get out in front of it, the public will assume that you approve of and were complicit in Bush's lies.

I intend to send something like that to every republican on the foreign relations committee.

4. I can only offer my own framework though I can't prove its success.

1) Strongly express your position as a constituent (eg VOTER)(caveat: do NOT identify your party affiliation);

2) Use their own rhetoric (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT);

3) BRIEFLY BUT REPETITIVELY point out that the DSM reveals a form of unacceptable exploitation;

4) Conclude with how the failure to address the situation will not only negatively their political success but also the credibility of the Republican party.

That's just my suggested framework. I'm sure there are those who can offer numerous alternatives.
