So, Cheney thinks Dean is "over the top"?
Hell, I think ol' Howard hasn't even reached the first floor!

Some Dizzy Dean quotes:

"Son, what kind of pitch would you like to miss?"

"Anybody who's ever had the privilege of seeing me play knows that I am the greatest pitcher in the world."

And my favorite quote, one that we should remember:
"It ain't braggin' if you can back it up."

1. You know, I'm not a Dean-Partisan...
... I think he's doing a great job overall as chairmen and I DO like him, even if I do think some of his statements are a little poorly phrased. For instance, I completely agree with his point about Republicans being a White Christian party, but it could have been phrased in a way that still conveyed the point without raising ugly stereotypes that Democrats hate White Christians.

That being said, when I read Cheney's comments I seethed. I wanted to personally... well, I shouldn't say that. Hell, maybe I've been identified and am being monitored at this very moment :eyes:

Everytime Cheney speaks I want to vomit. He is one of the most vile, disgusting, frightening men in government. I have never seen a public figure in such high a place who is more mean-spirited, more contemptuous, more bitter, arrogant, and unpleasant than Dick Cheney. Even Nixon and Agnew were nicer. The very fact that he is one step away from the presidency is horrific enough. The fact that he is for all intents and purposes "Prime Minister," or "Assistant" or "co-President" - or should I say "Grand Vizier" or hell, Darth Vader to Bush's... no, other way around - Darth Sidious to Bush's Darth Vader - he makes my skin crawl.

Frankly I detest Cheney a million times more than Bush, who to be honest I can honestly see liking as, say, a harmless neighbor. And while there are clear Fascist parallels in the modern Republican party, I truly don't think that Bush is an aspiring dictator (as bad as he is). But with Cheney, I genuinely don't know. This is coming from someone with VERY moderate views for DU. If Cheney were president it would be the end of American democracy. Truly.

2. Dick Cheney? Mr. Go Fuck Yourself?
Well, if Dean's gotten Crashcart's attention I figure he's doing something right. Naturally, the media whores will follow Dick's lead and complain about how "over the top" Dr. Dean is, but we can write all sorts of letters and emails, and call in to the hatchet-job shows and remind folks of Mr. Cheney's lack of decorum on more than one occasion. Right, Vice President Major League Asshole?
