Spitting on the graves of the dead American soldiers -Bill Gates/Microsoft
Our children are dying in Iraq for what Bush and Neocon Republican Limbaugh types say is for "democracy" and "freedom" but Microsoft will not allow these words on their servers. That's spitting on the graves of the dead American soldiers graves!

Microsoft (Bill Gates) bans 'democracy' for China web users

Microsoft's new Chinese internet portal has banned the words "democracy" and "freedom" from parts of its website in an apparent effort to avoid offending Beijing's political censors.

2. I think that's the decision of the Chinese government.
Gates is in between a rock and a hard place. Naturally, he wants to make money. He would probably prefer not to censor those words. OTOH, the people of China will learn a lot about what's really going on, even with the filter.

I'm curious to see how this pans out, and I wonder how Mac, Linux, et cetera, will handle this.

3. just curious
your post always have an anti-China are pro-Tiwanese flavor to them

Your bias is quite evident

The blood on Chaing's hands is NOT anything to use an example of a shinning "democracy"

Where China has come from, and where it is today, is a remarkable accomplishment that it even survived despite the brutality of the west, and Japan against it in the 20th century

Chaing had a chance to unite with mao to fight the Japnanese during world war II, but his aragonce and personal ambitions were more important to him than China.

5. I could never disgrace dead American soldiers or their families
discussing that in this thread. This thread is to bring honor to those who have died for what Bush and the entire GOP Crime Family, (Limbaugh too), has said is solely for "Freedom" and "Democracy".

I have several "Mark Luther", (Franken friend), who said when they found out the reason for slaughtering Iraqis was for WMD was a lie they didn't care because America to stand up for "Freedom" and "Democracy" was important. Well this Gates story blows even that lie out of the water.

6. The problem is for the GOP crime family it never was for freedom
or democracy, it was always for oil, and occupation

this you and I agree on 100%

As far a Gates, or any other corporation, it has and is about profits

That is the way it is, and will always be unfortunately

Edited on Mon Jun-13-05 11:43 AM by dArKeR
I guess I should not assume you're unaware.

I've got dozens of "Mark Luther" type (Franken friend), friends. After all the lies of Bush for going to war have been proven, they ALL fall back on "we're in Iraq for "Democracy" and "Freedom". I don't watch FOX but I hear that's about all they can say about Iraq. As I assume Limbaugh and Hanity say the same. Why should American children die for Bush Crime Family "seletive democracy"? So Bill Gates' money is worth more than the dead American soldiers? I guess that's what you're really saying.

15. Cut the BS dArKeR you are just using the "american solider" as a pawn
Not that I don't agree with your cause to make china free but please stop using the american soilder as a pawn for a cause that has nothing to do with them what you're doing is no better than what the right-wing does on talk radio.

14. wasn't aware we were at war with China
Bill Gates is not spitting on anyone's graves. I don't support one man having as much cash or power as he does, but as far as I know, he supports Democrats and tries hard to be one of the good guys, even if he falls down sometimes.
