8. Bush is caving to UK pressure
Blair came to get Africa aid and global warming help. He didn't get it. In fact he looked bad in asking.

Within days, additional memos are released from Blair's office regarding the run up to the war.

Within days after that, Bush says aids relief is administration top priority.

Coincidence?

19. Blair is a lame duck...out anyway
He is going to step down within months, so they say.

So I"m not sure how much it hurts him. Further, the memos cast UK officials as fairly competent and aware of much more than the US.

What may have hurt Blair personally was missing a chance to do something for his legacy....aid to Africa.

17. The following bit-o-tripe was heard on my local news last night...
"Experts tell us why this upcoming week may very well be the LAST week of the Jacko trial"

I was *this* close to killing my TV upon hearing such a pearl of wisdom.

20. 10 days ago, local news was interrupted for "Breaking News"
Jacko's jury was breaking for the weekend.

After reading the bulletin, they returned to their scheduled story.

It's a ABC local affiliate, the one that's "on your side."

5. Isn't it interesting, the number of news conferences
he has had so far. It has to be more than the entire first four years. He is in trouble and he knows it.

he would address the genocide in Darfur. But then again we know he doesn't give a crap about Africa. After all, if you're poor or being killed by your countrymen, it must be your own fault. You know, let the market settle it all. :sarcasm:
