we should stop asking for the troops to come home

because the criminal bushgang plans for the US to stay in Iraq. 14 military bases; those many, small, posts on Iraq's borders; the largest embassy in the world (3000 employees) being built; etc., etc.

the US is there to stay.

we have to get the criminal bushgang out of america before we can get america out of Iraq.

3. You have to have people to occupy those bases
if America (finally) decides they've had enough and refuses to supply the meat pipeline, they could have 40 bases and it wouldn't make a bit of difference

4. Why can't we do both simultaneously?
We have lost over 850 soldiers killed in Iraq over the last year. None of my kids or grandkids have been killed or maimed in Iraq yet, and I am working my ass off to make sure that doesn't happen.

As I write this, 1,702 soldiers have been killed in the illegal Iraq war. There are 1,702 families who have lost a mother, father, grandfather, grandmother, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, cousin, wife, husband, or child.

Get them out NOW!

5. Are You Serious?
Sounds to me like that's exactly the wrong thing to do just when public opinion is turning against the occupation and in favor of withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq. We need to demand more than ever that the Bush government bring our troops home. I don't think we should give Bush a free ride until 2008.

Shout it from the rooftops! Build the September 24th March on Washington to bring our troops home! Put the heat on all of the politicians who continue to support the occupation, Democrats and Republicans!

The alternative is to sit on our hands and hope the Democratic Party runs and elects a Presidential candidate who is actually opposed to the occupation in 2008.

6. we can demand until we are blue in the face but

the bushgang is there to stay.

congress would have to demand that we leave Iraq. can you see congress doing this?

we have to get rid of the bushgang in america before it is possible to get america out of Iraq.

7. I Just Can't Agree With Your Surrender Proposal
Edited on Mon Jun-13-05 11:26 AM by Itsthetruth
Yes, I can see Congress cutting off funding to continue the occupation .... if a big enough broad based movement is organized to demand withdrawl from Iraq. If such a movement is not built, what do you think the chances are Congress will take action to end the occupation?

Without popular public support it's very difficult to maintain a war over a long period of time .... especially when the troops begin protesting!

So I hope you help build and participate in the September 24th March on Washington to bring our troops home.

8. ** Lied About the Reason For the War
Edited on Mon Jun-13-05 11:55 AM by AndyTiedye
The war has no legitimate basis. Especially now. The regime is guilty
of war crimes, which are ongoing as long as the war is ongoing. End the war now!
Impeach the liar and send him to the Hague. Send Darth Cheney and Rumfelled too.
They have a wing of the Palace of Peace just for people like them:
