So the Aruba girl is the new Schiavo/runaway bride/M.Jackson(till the verdict comes in) this week. It's horrible that this girl was abducted, but let's keep this in perspective. Hundreds of people are abducted in this country each day, do we hear about them? Usually these stories are told during "slow" media times, now it's mainstream breaking news? Frankly, I hate to be callous, but other than the family, who gives a shit? We have a president lying to us about sending thousands of soldiers to Iraq over bullshit and we are worried about this "A student"? How many A students were sent to Iraq and were killed or wounded? We don't hear about that do we?
WTF??

It's what I call the Tabloid Mentality, a variation on the Sheep Mentality.
Don't make us think.
Don't show us nasty stuff, unless it's about some nice white girl who's been murdered.
Don't try to tell us facts, because that might make us think.
Tell us what to think.
Thank you, Roger Ailes.

2. I think it's the MSM, saying "look over here, don't really notice what |
|
is happening to your country".
