I'm Pleased And Relieved By The Jackson Not Guility Verdict |
|
I'm pleased with the verdict. This will drive the right-wingnuts .... NUTS!
Jackson is certainly a strange bird with bizarre behavior. But, that does not make him a pedophile. He liked pornography featuring adult heterosexual males/females, not child pornography, and I suspect such pornography would not interest an adult male pedophile interested in the same sex. Just a feeling. I don't know if that's a fact.
Michael Jackson, on the advice of friends and attorneys, will certainly end any more activity that could open him up to future victimization by people hoping to strike it rich.

After they mangled the OJ case out there in CA, it was a relief to see them get this one right.

8. Oh, I agree with the OJ verdict. |
|
I think it's just like this. They get the right verdict, everybody who doesn't really know anything about the case goes nuts because they had already made up their own mind.

17. I Didn't Agree With The O.J. Verdict |
|
I didn't agree with the O.J. verdict, however, the prosecution just botched that case and the jurors couldn't find him guilty. In this case, the prosecution just didn't have any evidence to back up their claims!

Whether or not OJ did it, I did agree with the jury in that the defense raised reasonable doubt during the trial.

I'll admit that I believed that he could not possibly get a fair trial in Santa Maria.
He did.
They did not convict him because he was African American.
He was deemed not guilty because of the evidence in the case.
He was represented by a white attorney, not a Johnnie Cochran.
He was still deemed not guilty!
He was branded totally by the media as being crazy, odd, weird and yet a jury of citizens carefully decided that he was not guilty.
God Bless America!

so what he had a rough childhood. It's still abuse to use kids the way he has.
Of course it's not sexual abuse... but tis abuse.

doubt.
The prosecutors obviously did not even come close to that standard in their case.

7. Yes, no "Jacko in jail" stories. Maybe the MSM will cover real news |

like, for instance, the continuing quagmire in Iraq, or the DSM.
Okay, okay, I'm sorry. Stop laughing!!

I had absolutely no opinion about this case until today when I heard that the verdict was in. I do not know why but I thought to myself "What verdict would Fox news love to see?" Obviously the answer was guilty. They want to see anyone who is black or from Hollywood go down. After that I knew what I wanted the verdict to be.
i think the prosecution should have never brought this case in the first place. I sounds like every accuser was tainted in some way or the other.
Anyway it is over. Let's get on with the DSM scandal!

Never thought about it -- you KNOW they would have eaten a guilty verdict up with a spoon.
I can't opine on the verdict 'cause I wasn't there, but here's hoping justice was served.

for the disgust ordinary citizens feel for the right-wing of this country attempting to dictate morality in addition to the ever-increasing political takeover. Maybe the backlash has begun.

19. Me too. I couldn/'t watch the verdict on TV. I just learned about |
|
it from DU. My take is that after the airing of that interview, the boy's mother had people in her ear telling her, "girl you could sue Michael Jackson and get muy rico." The prosecutor was out to get him and immediately had children services investigate to see if there was anything fishy. That investigation turned up empty. But they couldn't let it rest. Had to get him anyway.

21. I didn't follow his exploits or this trial closely enough to have... |
|
...an opinion about his guilt or innocence. But I do know that it is a common ploy of pedophiles to show heterosexual pornography to their victims, in the hope that they will become sexually aroused.
I don't even know if he showed it to any boys. I'm just saying that the presence of heterosexual pornography in his home is not exculpatory, in and of itself.

He just said that the mass media convicted Michael Jackson with their slanted coverage.
And Reverand Sharpton just said that this trial vindicated Jackson and that "this is good for America" because a person must be considered innocent until proven guilty.
