The "not guilty" verdict was a big loss for Bush. |

Now, the news won't have anything to distract them from the Downing Street Memo and the Republicans will have to create another distraction. A conviction would have resulted in weeks of coverage on whether he would survive prison, analysis, etc. This way, it's over and now everyone can focus on Bush.
