You know my biggest satisfaction with the MJ verdict?
now all the talking heads and media whores look fucking stupid.

They had everyone all geared up for a conviction.

8. That's not a sick cat.
All of Catwoman's pictures are adorable, and none of them need convicting.

If you meant Michael Jackson, sick people need medical attention, not conviction.

Edited on Mon Jun-13-05 07:13 PM by ocelot
isn't enough. The prosecution had to prove all elements of each offense beyond a reasonable doubt, and apparently they didn't. They had to prove that that particular kid was molested, not that MJ is a creep. Not only will I enjoy the most heinous Ms. Grace's discomfiture, I am also satisfied that the jury did its job by properly evaluating the reasonable doubt standard. Let's not go down the slippery slope leading to Guantanamo -- we can't convict somebody just because we *think* they're a criminal or a pervert.

careful of what they wish for others.Sickness and eccentric doesn't necessary make one a criminal.Whether people know it or not people in this country use to share beds, that is before the moral values took over and made every thing dirty.

14. I think the media deliberately hyped it that way
because it was pretty obvious the prosecution had no evidence. They even had a string of prosecution witnesses who testified for the defense that Michael Jackson didn't do anything to them or their children.

My theory is that the media guessed he would be proven innocent, and hyped him as guilty so that people would be outraged and watch more news coverage.

10. I don't get that. I figured he was going to get acquitted months ago
(I didn't pay that much attention but knew there was enough idiotic crap to equal reasonable doubt).

I did hear Dan Abrams and somebody else say they had underestimated the jury when they said they would convict. He said they didn't think the jury would literally follow the instructions but they did.

Hate to admit that. But, it goes to show the insidious effect repetitious, highly biased messages have on a half-conscious population.

Now I know why half the country still believes Saddam Hussein bombed the World Trade Center, and that W has kept us safe from terra, when none of the foregoing is true.

I believe the term is information sickness.:bounce: Sorry, Jacko.

27. They travel in herds to attract the media, that does the same thing, over
and over again. It's a rerun of the OJ slow-mo white Bronco chase, and so is the outcome of the trial.

With the cutbacks in news and entertainment budgets, propaganda is now into permanent reruns.

The MSM is an indoctrination device that doesn't work any more on half the population. It didn't on this jury. Reasons to be cheerful: 1, 2, 3 :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

**now all the talking heads and media whores look fucking stupid.**

They already did (look stupid)!

I was amazed when that absolute frickin idiot Nancy Grace said she was "eating crow" - then went on to say she "wasn't surprised at the verdict"...... uh-huh.

They all kept saying how MJ's "celebrity status" blinded the jury. Bull - the prosecution just did a very pisspoor job. Their witnesses were NOT credible and the defense blew them out of the water.

I don't know if the creepy guy is "guilty" or not - but you can't convict him just because you THINK he's "probably guilty".

37. The same ones who opened the door to prison for MJ keeps it closed
for the murderers in the WH. The media got a slap down and I hope Shrub gets what's coming to him and his hateful, murderous minions so the media can be slapped out of existence so we can get some credible news again in this country. MEDIA SLAP DOWN IS GREAT and by the way I don't believe he is/WAS guilty, behavior over the 20 years doesn't fit the profile of a real pedophile. Media driven trial all the way, now the media will go on to the next feed. Some in the media have made their career the past 10 years or/so driving this fervor. AGAIN MEDIA SLAP DOWN , VERY GOOD INDEED!

43. Especially after Faux reported this the other day

(snip)

The prosecutors in Michael Jackson's child molestation and conspiracy trial apparently feel they've already won their case.

On Wednesday night, the whole lot of them — DA Tom Sneddon, Ron Zonen, Gordon Auchincloss, their wives and families — all celebrated at the Hitching Post restaurant in Casmalia.

The Hitching Post, cousin of the Buellton restaurant featured in the movie "Sideways," is considered the best restaurant in the greater Santa Maria area.

Sneddon was so happy that he actually embraced celebrity crime reporter Aphrodite Jones. She told me he was in a jubilant mood, and the most outgoing of all the people on hand.
