It's all about the rage and the lack of faith in our systems.
I was just over at the MSNBC website, reading the reactions to the verdict. Jeebus, the rage. White hot. Molten. People just want to rip his throat out by reaching up his asshole with a chainmail glove on their hand and leave a hand grenade behind. Remarkable, the rage.

The other thing is the utter lack of faith in our court system. They are absolutely certain, for the most part that this was a flawed verdict. That the system broke down again.

We have a crisis in this nation. Lots of rage. No faith.

1. The Court of Public Opinion
is oft the scariest, most justice-lacking courts in the land.

Perception is reality and opinion is proof in that Hall of Justice.

5. And look who are the judges.
Grace, Abrams, O'Reilly et al, ad nauseaum.

Not a scintilla of reason amongst them. Just sociopathy.

2. Why are people so sure that he's guilty?
Because Fox News and The National Enquirer are gospel? If they are not to be believed in political matters, they are not to be believed in celebrity matters either.

The prosecution failed to make its case. That's all.

7. It makes me think that they WANT him to be guilty
Nothing people like more than the public falling of an rich eccentric

Interesting how, on this day when the senate is passing a resolution to atone for lynchings of blacks years ago, there's a big group of people who would just love to have a public lynching of Michael Jackson today.

8. This is a good point
and relates to alot more going on in this country than just the Michael Jackson verdict. People don't have faith in a better world anymore either, and rightly so. The world is in the worst shape it's ever been in since recorded history and doesn't look to be getting better anytime soon. What we need are leaders who inspire hope, leaders who will make us believe that there truly is a better world ahead FOR EVERYONE, not just the rich or insanely religious. The wackos love Bush cause they think we are in the "end times" and they are oh-so-ready to go be with God and Jesus and get away from us evil liberals. Our faith, as a country, is in all the wrong places.

9. Well and truly said.
Sadly, we elect midgets in a time where we need giants.

10. And when the true giants step up
the midgets just kill them. I worry for Howard Dean and any other great man/woman in times like this. Too many great men like JFK, RFK, MLK, etc have died standing up for what is right.
