Democrat Senators "Apologize" for African-American Lynchings, Today

Democrat Senators "Apologize" for African-American Lynchings, Today

To My Fellow African Americans: I am sincerely, somberly sorry.

My veins run deep with Native American blood, dating back to the early 1800's. The other half is filled with Anglo-Saxon... in order words; I am a "white" American.

As many Americans sat glued to the tube watching the Jackson verdict (he was found innocent of all charges), I watched our Democrats on the Senate floor admirably apologizing for some 4,900 plus African America lynchings. Many took place in the south, as well as the upper-Midwestern regions of the US. It seems like so long ago in America's history, these sad and horrific events occurred (burnings, hangings, and brutal treatment of fellow black human beings), but certainly sadness and angry run deep in African-American's hearts and souls, still today. But who can blame them when so much prejudice is resurfacing again in the heartlands.

Look at how we've treated them, what with the KKK planning marches in Boonsboro, Maryland according to the Baltimore Sun and the online "Hate Watch" website, http://www.hatewatch.org/. Oh, I still hear in passing mention of the Klan and it always takes me by surprise as I can't imagine these groups exist still - not in America, though apparently they're on the rise again. So I thought I'd take this time to do as our Democrat Senate leaders have done today by saying these words to my fellow Black Americans:

"I apologize, sincerely… And I truly mean it." I can't say how sorry I am that this country hasn't done this sooner, though they say 7 Presidents have tried prior. At least our Democrat Senators inspired me enough to follow-suit as I hope others will, too. Maybe together we can show the “other half” that we're united in so many ways - because we can rise above our differences. Matter of fact, our glorious leader and his crack-team professionals, their ever faithful Republican Congressional Fristians, and some of their voters inspired me to be a better person, from this day forward. Yes! I should sit down and write a “thank you” card to each and every Republican for showing me I'm way better then “all that.” They’re actions speak louder then words, like false Christian claims of caring for others in such a “Christ-like" manner. And thy're never-ending haughtiness, filled with arrogance so blatantly displayed towards fellow Americans, much less global neighbors. Why all of you on the "other side of the aisle" have managed single-handedly to turn literally the entire world against us. But thank you, ya hear. Because you've spurred me on to improve on my owb heart, soul and mind as I promise to strive in being a better person towards my fellow Americans from this day forward.

Hell, if you need an example just look at how you've looted our Social Security treasury, all in the name of a false war. Or how you've help turn brother against brother, grandchild against grandparent, and neighbor against neighbor. You've even managed to bring-out the worse in all of us, pitting states against one another as we quietly ponder the words, “United” with “States,” and feel something odd about hanging our Red, White and Blue outside our homes. Your party of "1 God" and you're ultra-uncompassionate legislative bills clearly show you have no compassion whatsoever for our troops welfare and wellness, both in body and soul, much less the rest of us.

No longer do I look upon the poor (me now like so many others), the hungry, and homeless souls as there are so many of us now less fortunate that the others. You’re display of hatred, fear, prejudice, arrogance and haughtiness has helped me to see just how ugly those characteristics are. Enough so that I have been vowing to myself with each passing glorious Neo-Conservative Tyranny-Day to be so not like you, at all costs. No, from here on out I vow to treat others as I’d want them to do unto me. And while I extend my deepest apologies to fellow African-Americans for atrocities endure from those prejudicially motivated, barbaric acts from our history books, I'd like to say "I’m sorry" if I ever offended you, or did not stand-up for you sooner.

Does it make "me" feel better in doing so? No. Not at all. In reality I feel quite sad knowing that I held this back for so long. And while I know this does not make-up for what has been done to you’re kinship, I hope you forgive my white kinship, as well. Hope this makes some-one of you fell a bit better knowing that this one white-person sincerely cares about you, and I do. And while our kind, gracious Democrat Senators were on the Senate floor today apologizes to our fellow African-Americans, on the for of the House our Democrats Representatives were detailing state-by-state statistics that displayed the out-sourcing of American’s jobs which affects each and every one of us.

Did I see 1 Republican Senator or Representative join-in? No. Not a one and maybe I missed ‘um if they did while in another room. All I know is while I flipped back and forth, all I seen were Democrats.

Peace & Love, Good Will towards all Humanity, once and for all…

1. George Allen co-sponsored the resolution
Let's be fair, and give credit where credit is due.

2. Like I said: I might have missed a Republican. Must have blinked.
