Thunderclap Newman.
What is the first line of his most famous song?

Why is that line especially important, right now, to DU?

Why does it presently seem that DU needs a doctor that double-specialities in both proctology and neurology?

1. Call out the instigator...
'cuz there's something in the air.

(My memory may be off, but I think this is it.)

2. Pete Townshend produced this song.
And, the album, too, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm a huge Townshend fan and when I saw "Thunderclap Newman," I just had to stop in and see what this thread was about.

Speedy Keene... correct?

4. Yes, Speedy Keene.
I've seen the movie on TV, but not in years. On video, no doubt. DVD too?

5. Don't know about a movie.
Just know that John "Speedy" Keen(e) (?) wrote the lyrics.

10. Yes, a movie.
This is the part where I dramatically give the name, but I seem to have forgotten it. Give me a minute ... Googling.... Ummm, not yet. This is embarrassing.

Wait, I just remembered. It's "The Strawberry Statement."

The Strawberry Statement

Good luck finding a tape or a DVD. Maybe you can.

3. Here's the lyrics.
Call out the instigators
Because there's something in the air
We've got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution's here, and you know it's right
And you know that it's right

We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together now

Lock up the streets and houses
Because there's something in the air
We've got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution's here, and you know it's right
And you know that it's right

We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together now

Hand out the arms and ammo
We're going to blast our way through here
We've got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution's here, and you know it's right
And you know that it's right

We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together

7. Wow! I really didn't relate it to what's going on now but
called my son, the musician, into my office to specifically listen to that song. I've always loved that song and played it during my first radio job in Vermont. For some reason, it has always had a special place in my heart/ear.

Uh, okay. I guess you had to be there/here.
