A new book targets the cooperation of the two extreme movements to undermine American institutions.

Is there a link between radical Islam and the American left? "Unholy Alliance," a new book by David Horowitz, says the two groups are working together to affect U.S. policy.

Horowitz contends that the left and radical Muslims are "working day and night to undermine the institutions of American society, sabotage our nation's war on terror and help our enemies prevail."

David Forte, a professor of law at Cleveland State University, also sees the agenda, but said it's an unconscious one, and we should be careful not to lump all liberals together as being pro-Islam.

Tim Graham of the Media Research Center said the agenda is obviously influencing liberal media.

,...a fascist. I thought Horowitz hated Nazis. Why is he leaning towards becoming just like one? The only difference between him and Hitler is that Horowitz is Anti-Arab/Islam whereas Hitler was Anti-Jew. Horowitz is as radically pro-Jew as Hitler was radically "Christian" white supremist.

This is the latest talking point on the right, another tool to beat anybody who isn't completely behind the war and Bush with. Give this a few weeks to echo around the RW echo chamber, and if we're not careful, the perception will become reality. Dems, a few of whom actually seem to be showing signs of spinal growth, will once again start advancing to the rear, and the rest of us will be screwed.

If this really blows out of proportion, it will be the perfect excuse to shut down the anti war movement, and to start rounding up liberals for an all expenses paid vacation to Gitmo.

Seems to me that the bulk of espionage in Washington in recent times has been conducted by a certain aggressive, Middle Eastern nuclear-armed state with a government dominated by religious fundamentalists and war criminals who took power after the assassination of the former Labour Party Prime Minister. What is this theocracy? Is it Iran, Syria, Iraq, or . . . I____?

That same state has a committed cadre of followers who, in addition to passing mountains of classified U.S. data and weapons technology, have literally taken over the policy apparatus of the U.S. Defense and State Departments. Furthermore, this foreign state's spies fed the U.S. false intelligence that led to tens of thousands of American casualties in the course of ibvading and occupying one of this state's neighbors, and has tried to draw the U.S. into attacking another neighboring country's nuclear plants. Which foreign political party do these these traitors serve? Are they communists, Baathists, Jihadists, or . . .L_____ites?

What militant ideology best describes that held by these spies? Are they liberals, leftists, or . . . F___ists?

won't read this, but to say that the two groups are working together implies that someone had a meeting. He should be called on to prove 'working together'. He is absurd.

Most of the left he is concerned about was the old anti-Israeli, pro Palestinian side-taking from the social justice issue and the marriage of US and Israeli foreign policy in extremely bad ways.

In fact, the wider "left" or for that matter most of mainstream America is rapidly identifying religious extremists as detestable vultures of a feather. A natural abhorrence of fanatical conservatives is more widespread than picking out championing Islamic people issues over against a malicious foreign policy machine.

Stupid and confused but the idea is to fix the debate into an attack on democracy here and abroad for the benefit of a few, to get all people fighting each other over issues they really share in common.

Horowitz is a warmongering creature of hate in this instance, spreading tar with prejudicial absurdity. Pretty much the same as those Islamic extremists in fact as well as rhetoric. If we could sign up to fight an army made up of the Horowitz's and Bushes and Falwell's and Bin Ladens we might all just sign up. But no, we are supposed to take sides, we the people, against each other and fight as their proxies while they cheer on with rants like this nonsense.
