Hey, America! Remember Us? -- February 15, 2003 -->>>
We Told You So.

February 15, 2003. The World Says No to War. It was the largest global protest in history.

=======================================

Poll: USA is losing patience on Iraq

WASHINGTON — Nearly six in 10 Americans say the United States should withdraw some or all of its troops from Iraq, a new Gallup Poll finds, the most downbeat view of the war since it began in 2003.

***

The poll is consistent with other recent surveys that show growing concern about the war. In an ABC News-Washington Post poll last week, two-thirds said the U.S. military was bogged down in Iraq, and nearly three-quarters called the casualty level unacceptable.

***

In the Gallup Poll, 56% say the Iraq war wasn't "worth it," essentially matching the high-water mark of 57% a month ago.

• Of those who say the war wasn't worth it, the top reasons cited are fraudulent claims and no weapons of mass destruction found; the number of people killed and wounded; and the belief that Iraq posed no threat to the United States.

1. I was in DC
that was the greatest feeling I've had other than having my child! The 10 hour bus ride there in the dead of night and then the wonderful but cold rally and then the march and trying to find our bus to get back home, another 10 hour trip.

Yes I remember because I was there!

2. I marched in Detroit
It was about 5 degrees, but we marched. We knew Bush was a liar, and that his war would be a disaster.

4. I was in NYC, but my pix are on my home computer
The AP even picked up a pic of my sister holding a mopaul anti-war sign.

What a great day. So many wonderful people who came from far and wide to say "NO, Hell NO" to Bush's oil war.

8. Oh, I might have seen her!
I remember posting to mopaul that night that I had seen a sign with his image. It was Poppy with the Georgie puppet on his lap. Mopaul was thrilled.

9. Yes that's the one!!!
So many people took pictures of it. It was a big hit in DC too.

A group of Japanese tourists loved it and I even had a college professor there with a group of his students ask me if he could "pose" with it. I said "sure!"

I remember when I told him about seeing it, he said now he felt like he was there.

Still have pictures on my computer at home. Was my first time attending a march in my life.

EDIT: Will post my pix when I get off work in a couple hours, one of my favorite signs was "BUSH + DICK = FUCKED" heh
