I'm going to England on Friday. Anything you'd like me to pass
along. Like, Thanks for all the help? Should I take my Kerry/Edwards shirt? I don't want them to hate me right off the bat cause I'm an American.

2. Tell the folks on Downing Street we need more memos.
Originals with Tony's signature on them would be best.
Also, tell the Queen to stop wearing those silly hats. They went out of style more than 40 years ago.

8. I studied for my BA in Cambridge, at Clare. A lovely town.
It's very American-friendly. Now I live in London. And if I thought you were all stupid, would I be here?

9. My apologies?
That seems somehow insufficient.

I'd wear the shirt and get a bumper sticker for your luggage. And have a blast!

:-)

11. You've just been reported to Homeland Security.
No doubt, some Freeper is calling the TIPS line right now.
What you and your EVILDuer insurgents are planning to "pass along" to England will be creatively hypothesized.

Of course, there's a lot of democrats in tallahassee visiting England, so I wouldn't worry...

Im being half facetious, here...

but...

watch your back.

13. Wear a www.sorryeverybody.com t-shirt
That would be good: both understated (in the way appreciated by Brits) as well as unambiguous. Most of us have access to the web now.

18. Crunchie = candy bar. Be sure to try. Digestive =
kind of a not very sweet graham cracker. The Brits eat them after dinner with cheese and fruit, hence the name digestive. Sounds awful but tastes good. Truth is I like to eat them with cream cheese and lemon curd.

That's another thing - try the lemon curd.

If you have free time take the train up to Scotland. Take the overnight sleeper - will save you a night's lodging and time.

22. Tell them "thank you" for their blood-toll in Iraq. Then weep with them.
Right or wrong, their trust in us is remarkable. Too bad we usurped it. Tell the dear English that we are working to mend ways. Ask .. no, pray they join us in a worldwide movement against Bu$h and for peace and justice. Together we will beat these madmen and see them in the dock at the Hague. The sooner the better.

Bon Voyage!

Mac
