Schiavo autopsy results to be released Wednesday
The autopsy is also expected to reveal what condition Terri was actually in when she died. Her parents insisted that she was minimally conscious, but most medical experts agreed that her apparent responses were involuntary movements.

Now that the MJ circus is over, expect this to bury the Downing Street Memos for a while.

1. Who is responsible for releasing the autopsy?
I understand the examiner will be conducting the press conference, but who set up this lousy timing?

13. The examiner.
He took his time because he knew it was important. I expect he'll have a lot to say that will once and for all hold up the value of medical science. The members of Congress who tried to push through fundy legislation on this should be ashamed of themselves. They had NO idea what was going on.

4. I can't imagine how an autopsy
could show what her level of consiousness was.

6. But it will show
How much of a brain she had left. Below a certain threshhold, there is no chance of consciousness.

11. I think the autopsy will cover some of the other
Edited on Tue Jun-14-05 02:52 PM by moobu2
issues other than her brains capacity for consciousness like the bone fractures and so forth. The Schindlers claimed the bone fractures were evidence of some abusive trauma Terri suffered that landed her in that condition to begin with etc...

12. Please don't compare this to the MJ case. The fed. government
stepped into private medical decisions in the case of Schiavo. It was only the courts that saved us from that.

It's extremely important, and some lies will be revealed when the autopsy results come to light.

It won't detract from the DSM. If the media finally decide to cover DSM, they'll cover it. If not, they won't. It won't have anything to do with these autopsy results.

I remember reading an article in the NYTimes that the Florida child agency did an autopsy and they didn't find any signs of abuse. So what's up with this shit? Our "news" is now the national enquirer. Disgusting. How I long for something like the BBC.
