My SUPER CHALLENGE to everyone! |
|
Edited on Tue Jun-14-05 06:23 PM by OrlandoGator
Name one thing the Bush administration has done right. That no amount of biased perspective or context can cast a shadow upon.
I've presented this challenge to another message board that has four or five Bushbots floating around, and the most I've gotten out of them so far is:
"I pity you. This has crossed into the realm of the absurd. I mean, what kind of question is that?"
Yes, that is their response to me asking to name one thing they've done right.
So see if you're up to the SUPER CHALLENGE!

Edited on Tue Jun-14-05 06:43 PM by SlipperySlope
I think the Bush Administration did a good job of handling the situation when the EP-3A surveillance plane made the emergency landing in China.

He figured out how to make the media his personal propaganda machine, force it to be his mouthpiece, rape it internally, outside and all the way around.....Like a wife abuser does, and the wife keeps coming back!
The sad part is he did that part real well, so well, its become hard to even reach him.

12. I've Got ONE Thing: The Do Not Call List. |
|
I get that the telemarketing folk don't like it, but we're down to two or three unsolicited "reduce your mortgage rate" / "buy new windows" / "fix your leaky basement" (we don't have a basement) / "blah, blah, blah" calls a day now, as opposed to the fifteen to twenty A DAY we were getting.
I *love* the Do-Not-Call List. I know the SOB did it for all the wrong reasons, but its the ONE THING I like -- flame away!
:)

13. Sorry, I didn't mean for this to be an [insert sarcasm here] thread. |
|
I'm serious. I got to thinking about it, and I really can't think of a single thing they've just nailed. That was good and that nobody could deny.
I thought for a moment about the stuff in the days after 9/11, the megaphone on the rubble speech. But ever since then I've become convinced that it was a cheap photo op just like everything else he does in public. And I think of him reading that goddamn book in that classroom and I realize it was too little, too late.
So for my own edification, help me out here. I really need to know if I'm the only one who can't think of a single thing.
I can name good things Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Bush I did. Not many, but there are a few. I can't think of any for W.

This a personal thing. The Bush regime has forced me to look at the bigger picture and thus to become more aware. I'm old enough to remember that the chumps handlers.....Powell, Rummy, Poindexter, Cheney, North, his Daddy et.al. are all.......all, old Nixon administration appointees and officials. This realization has made me aware of a certain continuity in the evil that drives the movement. This isn't about Nixon and it's not about the Bushes, it's not about Hitler nor Mussolinni, it's about the forces that drive our conscious universe and the milieu we live in.
There's power in such revelations and there's strength in grasping it. That's what the Bush administration has done right for me....woke me the fuck up.
