1. Senate Dems Say Frist Has His Bolton Story Backwards. . .

Senate Dems Say Frist Has His Bolton Story Backwards. . .
TWN has talked with a number of leading Senate players in the Bolton battle today, and the general response that Senate Dems have for Bill Frist's Bolton press conference are the following:

1. Senator Frist has the story "exactly backwards." The only way the "goal posts" have been moved is in the direction of the administration.
2. The three outstanding document requests each go back at least six weeks -- all of them made in April 2005. Nothing has been added to these requests. No one has repeatedly asked for more information. To the contrary, the Senators making requests have narrowed the requests on Syria and the NSA intercepts to be accommodating -- even though the Senate is fully entitled to all the information requested.

The Administration has never claimed "executive privilege" and has offered no legitimate rationale for not providing this material.

3. The request for the NSA intercepts was made by Senator Dodd orally on April 11 at Mr. Bolton's hearing and then in writing a few days later. The administration has stonewalled ever since.

2. I want pizza delivered to my front door every night at 10:00. Release
the information on the guy. Or walk away from the nomination and shut the **** up!

3. Note to Frist and McCain
Who gives a damn what you want? Do you have the numbers or don't you? Has the idiot provided the documentation or hasn't he?

If I'm not mistaken, the reaction we're SUPPOSED to have is to scratch our heads and say, gee, that McCain seems like a reasonable guy lots of times. Maybe Bolton should get his vote after all.

Sorry, McCain, it doesn't work that way. You've climbed into bed with the man who viciously slandered your family. Live with your choice.

4. It happened today, not 'Now', so it's up for discussion,
as we know, but I think Biden and Dodd respond that the documents must be produced.

5. They want an up or down vote, they want an up or down vote,
up or down vote ...up or down vote....up or down vote....up or down vote by the end of the week.

The repukes think the Dems do not need the reports that they want from the State Dept./Pentagon and are calling for a vote.

7. McCain is just another slimy toady for this administration. That
picture of him hugging His Rightousness (sp?) is enough to make anyone barf. That cinched it for me. Could hardly get those little short arms around the ape.

11. I Agree 100% McCain's "free pass" is all used up.
He could've changed the course of history last year by joining with the Kerry campaign...however, I guess the MONEY was too good from the Dark Side.

12. Lindsey Graham says
I spoke to Lindsey Graham quickly and told him that we were on opposite sides on John Bolton -- and the Senator quickly said, "Well, Bolton's gonna improve fast, or he'll be out."

13. We really showed them!
The three judges got in, Bolton will get in, and McCain showed Frist who was the boss. But now after ALL THE PERKS THEY GAVE US, we have to give in a little...maybe we can give them two or three supreme court judges. (Ok, do I have to say "sarcasm" here?)
