Tonight at a Def Leppard Concert
There was a projection screen that had visual effects for each song. During a song called "Gods Of War" They showed Bush giving the middle finger 3 or 4 times. LOL!

1. So, Def Leppard doesn't like Bush, I take it.

2. Well...
They won't be invited to perform at future mtv movie awards shows anytime soon with an attitude like that!

Hehe

3. Are they still touring? Talk about tenacious
Why is it most of the anti-Bush stuff comes from older bands? I saw Queensryche not too long ago and they took quite a few sly swipes at the asshole in chief. Roger Waters released a song not too long ago that hammers Bush by name. Same thing he did to Daddy Bush on his Amused to Death album.
While I was a little young to be a part of it, it seems like everyone making music during the Vietnam era was speaking out against the war. Now it seems the only modern bands taking their views public are Green Day and NiN. On the other hand I may be out of touch with new music.

5. Check out Tool and Use Your Illusion I by Guns and Roses
I've got some lyrics here for you:

Choices have always been a problem for you,
what you need is someone strong to guide you,
deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow,
what you need is someone strong to guide you,
...like me.

And, another set. . . (from Tool)

Everything you wear or hear
or see on your TV
is another product begging
for your fat and dirty dollar,
shut up and buy it.

Finally from GnR...

Most organized religions make
a mockery of humanity
Our goverments are dangerous
and out of control
The Garden of Eden is just another graveyard
Said if they had someone to buy it
Said I'm sure they'd sell my soul

Not to mention Queeensryche has a song called "Empire" which explains how exactly American "business" worked under Bush. The rest of the mash of today are a bunch of sellouts, not even trying to make a point.

7. Don't forget APC
"Pet"

Don't fret precious I'm here
Step away from the window
Go back to sleep

Lay your head down child
I won't let the boogeyman come
Counting bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums
Pay no mind to the rabble
Pay no mind to the rabble
Head down, go to sleep
To the rhythm of the war drums

Pay no mind what other voices say
They don't care about you
Like I do
Like I do
Safe from pain and truth and choice and other poison devils
See they don't give a fuck about you
Like I do

Just stay with me
Safe and ignorant
Go back to sleep
Go back to sleep

Lay your head down child
I won't let the boogeyman come
Count the bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums
Pay no mind to the rabble
Pay no mind to the rabble
Head down, go to sleep
To the rhythm of the war drums

I'll be the one to protect you from
Your enemies and all your demons
I'll be the one to protect you from
A will to survive and a voice of reason
I'll be the one to protect you from
Your enemies and your choices son
One and the same I must isolate you
Isolate and save you from yourself

Swayin to the rhythm of the new world order and
Count the bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drum
The boogeymen are coming
The boogeymen are coming
Keep your head down, go to sleep
To the rhythm of a war drum

Stay with me
Safe and ignorant
Just stay with me
Hold you and protect you from the other ones
The evil ones
Don't love you son
Go back to sleep

4. Good!
I hope Joe and the Gang got through to one of Bushie's biggest supporters groups - many of whom happen to be the same age of most Def Leppard fans - that 30 to 45 demographic.
