Rumsfeldt and Pace on Iraq (CSPAN)
They appear to be living in another dimension. The number of attacks in Iraq on a daily basis "isn't good and isn't bad, it's just a fact," according to General Pace, the vice chairman of the joint chiefs.

Rumsfeld attempted to put together the "big picture" for the press corps who asked questions as if he really knew anything about what he was talking about. "It's a sovereign country." They have their own government even though they don't have a constitution yet. He "has to let go of the bicycle seat sometime." What we're trying to do "is a really big thing and shouldn't be trivialized." "We're trying to make a democracy." "I can't guarantee that it's going to work." After, he summarized his disorganized and contradictory policy statement, he didn't take any questions.

Pace said the press shouldn't get overly concerned with spikes in the number of daily attacks. "If you average it out, it's consistent over time."

One would like to ask the former corporate leader Mr. Rumsfeld if one can't guarantee results after spending $300,000,000,000.00 and killing over 100,000 people, isn't it time to come up with another plan? But the corporate culture in America has developed a tendency to reward bad leadership and dissociate itself from the consequences of bad decisions. The costs are foisted onto to someone else and there are no consequences until the organization collapses for total lack of fiscal viability.

1. Rummy has no credibility anywhere in the world.
The Smiley Skull w/glasses has lost it's grip on sanity. Just look at the jingoism Rummy pulls out of a hat.

"Clap for der fhurhrerer!"

2. He may have no credibility, but he is arguably one of the most
...powerful people on the planet. The rump legislature gives him anything he wants.
