1. What will you talk about?
You don't know what he stands for yet.

Clark. You're being condescending by assuming we don't "know" anything about him.

11. Again, thanks for telling me what I "know"
I've been following Clark for some time and am quite familiar with him. And I also like several of our other candidates, including Dean, in case you're wondering.

22. That would be great
if all of the "real Democrats" lambast Clark, maybe he will realize we don't want or need him. Who knows, maybe Smirk will name him as next year's running mate, after Cheney gets scuttled.

Gawd, this party needs help.

ATTENTION PEOPLE. LIMBAUGH AND HANNITY AND O'REALLY AND ANNTHRAX AND OLLIE AND GALLAGHER AND NOFACTS AND MCGOOFY AND KRISTOL ARE SCARED SHITLESS OF CLARK!!! WHAT MORE OF AN ENDORSEMENT DOES THE MAN NEED????

47. HOLY SHIT! How Did You Know That?!?
I didn't even give them my screen name! I give you the crystal ball award, for sure!

I have to say, when I was talking about how we really need to beat Bush by a LOT in this election so he doesn't have the opportunity to steal it again, I was momentarily freaking out right after the words, "We want to blow him away," slipped out of my mouth. I VERY hastily added the, "Metaphorically speaking," qualifier.

So all of you who heard that segment, please vouch for me if I get dragged off by Secret Service!

DTH

8. Keep Getting A Busy Signal
Edited on Mon Sep-22-03 09:29 PM by cryingshame
But as a Potential Supporter I would cite the NYTimes where Clark says " I don't see why we can't have health insurance for every single American," he said.

Asked how he would pay for it, General Clark said he was open to some cuts in the budget he is more
familiar with — the Pentagon's. "The armed forces are a want machine," he said. "They are structured to
develop want."

At the second to last debate, Dennis K. said he would cut the Pentagon budget and Dean got all snotty saying HE wouldn't cut the budget because of Terrorism.

1. the Pentagon has lost over 3.3 Trillion dollars over the last 3 years.
2. the Pentagon has little to do with protecting our homeland from terrorist activities. Our border security and first responders are theones who need the money.

45. Wow... you sould read what Dean said on the subject

instead of just repeating the talking point.

Dean:
“I think it would be foolish to reduce spending on defense at a time when we’re under threat. I disagree with the President about what those threats are, but here’s what we need money for: we need money to buy the uranium and plutonium stockpiles of Russia, which this president is not doing. We need money to change our oil policy. We need to inspect the 98% of cargo containers that come into this country uninspected. We need money to give to the states to help them in homeland security. So I think cutting our defense and homeland security budgets is a mistake. I would reallocate it in a different way than the president does because I don’t think the president has defended this country as much as he’s talked about.”

Saying he isn't.

Please, he most certainly WAS and if he is allowed to distance himself from the DLC and his moderate record, why couldn't Al Gore?

Do you have a link or something that supports that? Because I googled Dean and DLC and didn't find anything of the kind.

See for yourself.

On edit - I don't mean to sound as if I think you're lying - I'm genuinely surprised that he was.
