4. My guess is that it's more like a "Heil Hitler" salute -- even the
"Heil" seems to be formed on his mouth.

Am I right?

6. Didn't we decide this was some kind of a Texas wave, or was that --
another gesture?

He always looks miserable and evil to me, but then, I'm a prejudiced Democrat.

9. No, that was the satan sign
Thumb and pinky extended, everything else closed. Its the UT, hookem horns sign.. I mean he could be hailing satan too... but since his daughter went to UT, the other is more palatable.

I do find it interesting that he does that and pisses off all the aggies, considering pappy bush's library was built there.

13. Isn't this also the "hang loose" gesture from Hawaii?
Edited on Wed Jun-15-05 01:06 PM by Radio_Lady
See this:

http://www.theinsider.com/Aloha/Photos/HangLoose.htm

That's why he mentions the hand gesture is a "friendly gesture"!

I also learned is as the "cuckold" sign. (Meaning is described below.)

From the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary:

One entry found for cuckold.

Main Entry: cuck·old
Pronunciation: 'k&-k&ld, -(")kOld
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English cokewold
: a man whose wife is unfaithful
- cuckold transitive verb

14.  Think the Hook 'Em Horns hand gesture
Is the pointer finger and the pinky instead of the pinky and thumb.
It was mistaken in Norway for sign for devil when chimp did it.

BTW, shrub has no friggin' business making that sign..Austin and UT are both blue..they don't LIKE him. The UT student newspaper endorsed Kerry in Nov 2004. UT has never liked him...it was their Law School that rejected his admission when he was young. Then he made a "joke" when he became gov how them refusing him might influence his decisions over his financial decisions about the UT system.

http://www.cominganarchy.com/archives/2005/01/22/bush-highlights-perils-of-sign-language/

U.S. President George W. Bush’s “Hook ‘em, ‘Horns” salute got lost in translation in Norway, where shocked people interpreted his family’s hand gesture during his inauguration as a salute to Satan. ... For Texans, the gesture is a sign of love for the University of Texas Longhorns, whose fans are known to shout out “Hook ‘em, ‘Horns!” at sporting events

7. Is this an old picture? Looks like bruised hand again
I remember a picture a while back where his hand was bruised looking, the palm of it. Is this from the same time or is it a photographic problem or is his hand really bruised?

11. His mother told him he could use his good right hand to --
masturbate until it was bruised.

Just kiddin' -- hey, the man suffers from "bruised brain syndrome" and that's worse that anything. You can't see it, you just know it from listening to him.
