DSM Hearings to be held in the Capital Building!

During Amy Goodman's interview of John Conyer's this morning, Conyers said the DSM hearings WERE going to be held in the Capital Building. This was in response to Amy's question about having to hold the hearings in the DNC Headquarters because of Sensenbrenner's prohibition on Dems holding hearings in congressional meeting rooms.

You have left therefore no recourse but to be rebuked for violating
House chamber rules in your endeavor to cut hearings to a halt on the
Patriot Act. And by and by, you were going to force everyone to take a
different hearing room. But as I have just learned, they will get
their hearing room anyway. You have failed, not just failed to be

Senator Frist vetoed the bill for public lynching. Our country is
supposed to be above racism, do you think your children love this?

Sir, let me take issuance with that point. This was not even a real
war, it was a mass-murder done by criminals.

We're talking about extremists of religion who wanted to not just kill
Saddom, but wipe out all of the muslim population and Iraqis and
anyone who at all was part of islam.

These people claimed to be devout christians, but what they've
demonstrated here is very un-christian in every degree. This is
nothing different than a mass slaughter in Nazi's Germany and they
continue to be proud of the fact they killed those men and women.

And you know what should turn your stomach and be revolting, you call
freedom and democracy. That is what disgusts not just me
Sensenbrenner, but the entire Democratic Caucous, the Republican
Caucous, and all those who have followed this path of lies, tyranny
and bloodshed for years.

Women have lost their sons on a war based on Oil sir, there was
nothing good or christian about this. I am sorry to say this but you
do not deserve to be in power, I really mean that, if you can not feel
anything for the thousands of starving families, the thousands of dead
in this mass slaughter, and children in the united states who do not
have any health care. We're sick of it, and we have every right to
take our country back.

The constitution and the rule of law, Chairman Sensenbrenner. Not
partisan bickering, but following through with the law.

8. They should bring their own equipment

Their own gavels, mikes, PA system, bullhorns. Don't depend on C-SPAN--bring your own camera people, too. Private security in case they're arrested for trespassing. And floodlights in case the GOP tries to cut the electricity. This could be a setup.

9. This makes for too good of a news story not to be covered

The major networks won't be able to ignore this. We should start flooding them with calls and emails to pressure them for coverage just in case.
