Why does Mancow hate liberals so much? |
|
Some of you in Chicago area are probably familiar with his show as well as people in areas where this radio is syndicated. My question is why is this guy so against liberals. He bashes conservatives too but liberals seem to get the worst of it. Is he just doing this for a reaction since he is in Chicago and after all it is pretty much Democratic stronghold?

5. He hates liberals because his bosses hate liberals. |

If you want to better understand how the mass media in all its manifestations came to be under RW control, go pick up a copy of David Brock's "The Republican Noise Machine," which explains the various think tanks and foundations which supply news and entertainment, and the corporations who fund them.

The Republican jumped on those ideas first, and the Democrats are trying to catch up quickly.

7. 'cause bleeding-heart liberals are soft on commies and crime and don't |

keep us safe. Besides liberals foster sane fiscal policies and try to respect the rule of law, the Constitution including the Bill of Rights, the environment, our friends and neighbors, and international treaties, laws, organizations, and goodwill. Besides, the economy, stock market, and number of jobs generally go up, up, up when liberals are in charge and corporations and the most affluent are expected to shoulder almost their fair share of taxes. In a nutshell liberals are bad, bad, bad.

Who think that he is "telling it like it is" want to hear him bash "liberals", which is code word for anyone who isn't white, male, working class, and uneducated.
Howard Stern has a lot of the same audience. It is interesting that when he saw the light on the BFEE is when the FCC started to drive him off of the public airwaves.

funny in the slightest except to the true knuckle dragger's and they are always bringing up the rear. He hopes to be the new Stern but he doesn't have Stern's smarts and nose for what's in and out.

...and I think it has something to do with this idea that people need to be strongly whipped into shape.
Bobby Knight, famous player-choking basketball coach who got fired for grabbing someone at a restaurant, was on once, talking about how disciple was doing what you need to do when you need to do it, and Mancow was like "you're good". He sounded like he was having phone sex or getting a hand job from Coach Knight. He's got a fascination with whipping people into shape.

13. By the way, Mancow is the one who got me into activism. |

By serving as an enemy, of course. Before the war, he was going on confronting all the anti-war arguments with stuff that just on it's surface did not make sense. I mean, it wasn't a matter of whether there was evidence of weapons of mass destruction or how good the evidence was that he was arguing about; he was just saying stuff that made no sense. I started thinking that I've got to do something about this madness; here's this guy on the radio saying stuff that's not even logical right out in the open and shamelessly...I was like, this has got to stop.
