Because most of America has not bothered to follow up on the election. However they are concerned about the direction our country is heading and showing disapproval for Bush.

We need to keep chipping away at him and help keep those poll numbers low. If we succeed it won't matter who the democratic nominee is, the American public will want Bush out of the White House!!!!

He had a clip showing Bush explaing the PA or something, Bush says "So now the right hand (raises left hand) knows what the left hand (raises right hand) is doing."

Of course, when you're looking at the speaker, he raises the hand on YOUR right, so it isn't immediately obvious, but Letterman kept shaking his head and repeating the line and gestures until I got it, and spit out my soda laughing.
