what we need to stress when we discuss this issue with retards like Freepers is that these people are NOT terrorists. They are SUSPECTED terrorists, and if they listened to the Judiciary committee that Sensenbrenner rudely shut down, they might have heard one of the key witnesses testify that of all the detainees, NONE have been charged with terrorism crimes, only minor immigration issues.

All the Freepers are calling for trials, and then "off with their heads." What they don't understand is that if we actually held the trials, pretty much all of them would walk because we have NO EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT OUR CLAIMS THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE TERRORISTS, which is why they are classified as "suspected terrorists."

Without proof, you cannot punish, and that is why Gitmo is a stain on our country. They simply do not understand the facts of this situation, they only listen to the absolutely ridiculous arguments (and really, seriously people, Dick Cheney's and Bush's arguments for keeping Gitmo running are 100% laughable) that BushCo spouts and believe them.

THE DETAINEES AT GITMO ARE NOT TERRORISTS NOR HAVE THEY EVER BEEN CONVICTED OF A CRIME, and we get the right to detain and torture indefinitely. USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA!
