The inevitable point in history: Dean and Clark supporters UNITE
Hmmmm.... I suppose you may be saying what?

That day will come when either Howard Dean is nominated and he immidiately picks Clark as his running mate or Clark is nominated and selects Dean as his running mate.

They cannot run without each other.

8. I think everything will be ok, :-)
Just let the votes fall where they may. Let the people decide in the primary. It will all work out for the best.

7. Would you accept him as Senator or Governor???
In 2006, when he runs for that in Ohio?

In other words, would you support whoever the nominee is if Kucinich isn't on the ticket.

15. When who runs for governor
or Senator? Clark? I wouldn't have much to say about that, since I do not live in Ohio.

I will accept the nominee, even Lieberman if it should come to that (it won't). But I don't have to like it.

4. I support Clark now, but after the primaries, the nominee - whoever he may
Edited on Mon Sep-22-03 10:45 PM by robbedvoter
be, will have my full support - including volunteering. I don't consider/care for the VP scenario right now.
Which is why I'd like to hear less unforgivable accusations against my candidate (war criminal, Rove's man etc) - because I trully want to carry my enthusiasm to the nominee - and these ridiculous outbursts may stand in the way.

that it is rather early to call things like this. The RW have the media on thier side, for the most part. Unless Democrats start vocally working en masse on the local level, the RW could assassinate the character of any person running that they really felt threatened by.

They can run alone, or with each other. Shit, run a monkey. If the Democratic and left bases start to work hard on the local level, we could get a cantaloupe elected over these corrupt bastards.

edit: We will see if this Liberal Radio network I hear is being launched in January (?) will do good. I hope that it might help the massive uninterested and disenfranchised liberal (not moderate)majority (that I suspect is there) to smell the shit and get active.

12. Since
the two are at the top of the polls it makes sense for them to team up NOW as a united loud voice against Bush. The object of the game is to beat Bush and an early unified start certainly could help i believe. I know the Repugs are on serious edge concerning the two so get they need to get the most bang from the buck.

16. I Am Liking Clark/Dean More and More
I am hopeful Clark can pull it out over the course of the primaries, especially the Southern primaries.

Picking Dean as VP would have many benefits. Energize the grassroots, especially those who supported Dean. Bolster the already-strong domestic policy side. And combine their war chests, as they will undoubtedly be the two largest in the field.

18. I really like Dean, I like Clark but I want to hear more
I suppose that will come across in the debate Thursday and in the next few weeks. I hope Clark has his team together, he's new at this and he has got to be prepared for the onslaught from the right wing. But hell, if a ham sandwich is our candidate, I'm voting for it!!

20. Why vote for a man that loved Reagan, and still does to this day
Edited on Tue Sep-23-03 04:00 AM by IndianaGreen
when we can vote for John Kerry?

Assuming that the Democratic Convention is hell-bent in nominating a war hero, why would we vote for a man that loved Reagan (voted twice for him), and still does to this very day?

Clark's position on the Iraq war is identical to John Kerry's. The difference between the two is that Kerry cast that vote for the war, and he is now paying for it. Clark has waffled his Iraq position far more than Kerry has his, and unlike Kerry, Clark has written some pretty damning stuff in which he gushes enthusiasm for the war without a word about its legality, or the cost in civilian casualties.

Given the choice between Clark and Kerry, I would choose Kerry. Unlike Clark, Kerry is a Democrat through and through. One dumb vote on the war did not negate decades of public service while adhering to Democratic ideals.

Kerry does not bring the baggage of NATO's tactics in the war in the former Yugoslavia, and what Human Rights Watch described as the "cavalier" attitude of NATO regarding civilian casualties.

I am resigned to the fact that Clark is the darling of white males, many of whom had never served in the military!
