URGENT ACTION: Support US Involvement in UN Reform by TOMORROW
Got this in an email from Refugees International, and felt it important to post. (check out www.refugeesinternational.org to find out more about this organization and what they do)

The UN has openly embraced the need for urgent and strong reforms and has put forward concrete proposals. We need your help to stop Congress from reducing America's influence over these badly needed reforms by withholding U.S. dues to the UN. Tomorrow, the House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on the UN Reform Act of 2005 introduced by Rep. Henry Hyde (R-IL). This Act impedes the very reforms that are needed by limiting the ability of the UN to fund the changes that need to occur.

Reform costs money. The U.S. Congress should be working to strengthen and equip our international organizations to meet new challenges and conditions, rather than hindering the process of reform.
