Did the Mormon Church support the Iraq War?
I remember hearing that the church leadership of every major Protestant denomination, except for the Southern Baptists, opposed the war. Was this also the case with the Mormon Church?*

* I do not wish to start a religious flame war over whether or not the Mormons are Protestant. That's not the point of this post.

2. Utah only has 3 Reps and 2 Senators
even if religion influnced the IRW vote, it would be rather small in the greater scope of things.

4. it looks like the church itself, did not take a stand

One Prof was strongly against it, but most of their members supported it, as they no doubt voted in 2004.

The Church doctrine that I found talked more about coffee and alcohol than it did about war or poverty.

5. No the Mormon Church did not support bush's illegal, immoral, unjust war.
Mormons (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) - The Mormon Church took its Anti-War Stance on Sun Oct 6,2002 in SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The Mormon church issued a strong anti-war message at its semiannual General Conference, clearly referring to current hostilities in the Middle East, advocating patience and negotiation, and urging the faithful to be peacemakers

Even bush's own church did not support bush's illegal, immoral, unjust war.
