We need Bloom County now more than ever
Opus and Bill kept us sane during the Reagan years, and we could use more of their medicine today.

3. I'm not sure
He does keep a low profile these days, even professionally.

2. And Calvin and Hobbes
The Far Side however might be a bit too real for these times.

If I see one more "Calvin pi$$ing" sticker...

AKA "Whose Work Would Jesus Rip Off"?

It's too bad Waterson doesn't have an army of copyright infringement lawyers to go after these asshats.

5. I believe
he has started a new comic strip that includes many of the Bloom county toons. Personally I find Boondocks more in line with the aughts and has no problem directly poking fun at Bush America.

7. Opus. Sundays only.
Tom Tomorrow is the most right-on, in my book, these days. Although Aaron Magruder does get some good zingers in now and again.

8. WaPo has it online:
Yeah, Opus is available online (for those who live in areas that don't get it) through the Washington Post: http://www.uclick.com/client/wpc/wpopu/

You can also view old Bloom County archives at comics.com/mycomicspage.com - they show about six strips per day.

I wasn't aware of them when they first came out, but I fell in love with them for the past year since they've been available on comics.com. I just love the Meadow Party bits.. hilarious!

10. Funny. Since Opus came back, I've felt something was off.
I used to ADORE that strip. Now, most of the time, I have no idea what he's getting at. Maybe I need more drugs (on Sunday morning?!?!), I dunno.

Boondocks is great -- I loved it when Aaron gave Condi a rough time. Tom Tomorrow too, and Ted Rall. Toles can be very good.
