Someone earlier posted something regarding this bunch of whacks, and mentioned the article--well, they're looking for their 5min of fame--when the hell are they going to be put of the net for good.

1. Videos/pix??

Does anyone have anything that can prove what kind of "hateful" things these whatevers are capable of? Didn't the freeps at one time/many times, have their own videos of their protests when they badgered D's all over the place? Wouldn't it be great to get copies and send to the defendants attornies.

4. I'm not sure the Freeps are actually a hate group.

Extreme mental illness group, definitely, but I'm not sure most of them would go as far as the KKK, Stormfront, or Phelps' Closet Nazis from Kansas.

5. They're a bunch

of "sick tickets", however, don't underestimate anyone or anything that's capable of what they've been doing and getting away with it..did you ever think you'd see someone takeover the WH as we have? Did you ever think there'd be an occupant/squatter in Gore's house??

6. I remember the thread

on FR that started the whole hate group accusations. Some anarchist group on indymedia.org had encouraged people to peacefully disrupt one of the FReeper get togethers. The FReepers responded on FR and on the indymedia site with threats of violence and someone apparently reported them to the police. The incriminating posts on FR soon disappeared, and the mods have been a lot more vigilant lately about removing that kind of stuff.

I think most of the FReepers are harmless, for what it's worth. They just love to talk big and try to intimidate anyone who disagrees with them, ala Coulter.

7. Looking for $$$$$$

Thanks for the ping. There was a short comment about it on 47 at 5:00 o'clock . I wasn't real pleased with what I heard. Something to the effect that "a suit filed by FreeRepublic today could end up costing the Fresno taxpayers money". We all know that if there is any settlement, it will not come out of city coffers. They have insurance to cover lawsuits.

Just saw the six o'clock report where the (channel 47) reporter said again that this suit could cost the Fresno taxpayers over a million dollars. It was also reported that the attorney said this could "all go away with a retraction and an apology".

8. BWAHAHAHA! The freeps are SO slow...

they have just now realized that the government has been defining what is a 'hate group' ever since 9/11.

I guess with freeps, it's a-ok, so long as it doesn't touch them.

Lookee! The freeps want to tie the government's hands in fighting terrorism. What bad, bad, boys.

BTW: I think the freeps should have to pay the city of Fresno for all the publicity they're getting because of this.
