I think GITMO should remain open. |
|
We will need a place to house Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle, Rove and the rest . . .

2. What ironic justice! Confined in Halliburton's prison! |
|
Built by Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown & Root (KBR) for an estimated $9.7 million, Camp Delta now has gun towers, a working hospital, and the telltale sign of military permanency: a PX store.http://www.motherjones.com/news/outfront/2004/01/12_400.html

3. I agree whole heartedly |

I would even go as far as having web cam access to them, so that citizens of the world (mainly Iraqi's and Afgans) can watch them rot away.

4. Yes and the four-star menu... |
|
they would be having the time of their lives!! they would be treated better than ever and the American taxpayer would provide crosses, bibles, hymnals and collection plates.
The collection plates would be passed every hour and the felons-of-no-interest could tithe 10% of their ill-gotten gains back to the American people.

8. Isn't treatment of prisoners the issue?? |
|
Closing GITMO I fear will close the issue--and the atrocious treatment of prisoners will continue elsewhere. I understand the desire to close the camp..but there is a sanger that it will healp the issue to disappear rather than to be dealt with.

10. In all seriousness, keeping it open |
|
is a win-win issue for us. We look like we're "tough on terror" at the same time keeping the issue of prisoner mistreatment up front, AND it will still be there to house all the repug crooks. (I'm sorry that is just too good delicious of an idea to let go.)
