Bush is going to pull another reckless act a la 9/11 before long.
I base this on his very nature that is contemptuous of small people like us who want to lead ordinary lives with our loved ones.He has already expressed that contempt by saying "Who cares what you think?".He has been infused by missionary zeal by his visit with Ariel Sharon before he stole the election in 2000. He came away thinking he is another Churchill sent by God himself to rescue the Western world from the Muslims.

The 9/11 event that ensured his bona fides with the extremist factions is now earing thin, with his sagging polls indicating that the event no longer commanding the public's attention. The very nature of our society, craving new excitements week after week, ensures that popularity is a fleeting phenomenon.

Whatever Bush does in the next few months to revive his sagging poll numbers will have to be very spectacular and, as man who gambles with other people's lives and money Bush is likely to be considering some very scary scenarios.

I am certain we will be left speechless and powerless if and when that happens.

3. Who else will be involved?
He doesn't have the know-how to do something like 9-11 again. He will have to have partner(s).

6. The minutiae of execution will be left to Rumsfeld and Cheney who are
masters of the art of bureaucratic manipulation.

4. that has been my fear BUT
His numbers are are highest on his ability to protect us from terrorism - with his numbers so low everywhere else... not sure if he'd risk it. Especially since many of those who were united behind him after 9/11 are no longer buying the bull.

5. If he decided to be a double murderer.....
His true crimes and heinous acts would be given even greater consequences in the ICC. Another 9/11 would confirm that.

7. He has covered his tracks well after 9/11 by ensuring no physical
evidence exists connecting him to the event. He will do the same with the new event.

10. I pray you are wrong,
but fear you are right. * and co. may very well pull something to stop a Resolution of Inquiry.

The Congressional hearings for Downing Street are a threat to his/their maniacal power thirst and may well push them from the desperation they must be feeling now, toward action.

Two words-

Martial law.
