General C-Span Coverage Question |
|
The hearing going on now raises the question.
If they loosley schedule in 2.5 hours for a hearing how long will they continue to broadcast it if it goes long?
Will they shut it off at two and a half hours or let the camera roll?

1. Depends on what's scheduled next, usually |
|
For instance, when they rerun Washington Journal, they often cut away when it's time for a more pressing broadcast, such as a live press conference or a scheduled panel discussion.
Unless they have a more urgent live broadcast in the wings, I don't think that they'd cut away if the hearing went long.

2. I think it depends on what is on the schedule. |
|
If they've committed to cover something else, they'll have to cut it off. If they are scheduled to air nothing on cspan3, or some rerun, I suspect they'll cover it until it's over.
