4. What do you want him to do?
Get on national TV and say "Neener neener, I was right and you were wrong?" Also, he has commented on a great many things, but the MSM isn't interested in his criticisms or observations on this regimes illegal and immoral actions, but only on those things they can blow up into an issue in and of themselves.

5. NO, I think he's working on building the infrastructure in states.
He's doing very well at that, and that's where he sould be right now! If you want this meeting to have even a chance to hit MSM, you don't want Dean overshadowing it!

He's working in ALL the states, like he said he'd do. Leave him to do that! These Reps have a job to do too, so let 'em do it!!!

7. or he is trying to lay the groundwork for winning in 06???
Dean doesnt have a vote on these matters. His job is to raise funds for the party and try to get the party a foothold in red states for future elections. He has a job to do and the democratic members of Congress have a job to do. Channel your anger to the proper people.

11. He is not an elected lawmaker
He is the chair of the party and he is doing what the chair is supposed to do - drumming up support for the party.

9. This is NOT his day....it is the forum's day....Dean should be entering
Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 04:16 PM by Gloria
the fray further down the road.....His job today is to stay out of the limelight, not let the Rethugs divert the messages out of the forum....

ie: COVERUP
Not meeting with us (the parents of dead soldiers)
etc. etc.

10. Not his place
He's letting the Congresspeople have the floor for a few days as he should. It would be a lot easier to paint this as a "political vendetta" if the fiery Chairman of the Dems gets into the fray now. The best thing he can do now is stay quiet and let Conyers and Co. do their thing.
To the fire-eaters out there: you not only have to fight hard; you have to fight smart.

Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 04:29 PM by BrklynLiberal
Doing what he was hired to do..raise funds and talk to the grassroots people....locally. Not distract from the main stories.
