I look at all the current scandals. New ones every day. I look at the refusal to answer the DSM. I see how transparent the new lies are and how tired the old lies have become.
I think of the dirty tricks of Sensenbrenner and the threat of a veto over library records.
And I wonder, are they desperate or so cocky they don't see their foreshadowed demise.
Please . . .discuss.

because they know there will never be another honest election in this country.
Literally all they have to be concerned about is violent revolution and the Patriot Act(s) and Homeland Security Act are in place to quell even that, should it erupt.

... that you can only skim a few percentage of votes using fraudulent means. Any more than that and it becomes obvious.
If we play our cards right there will be a landslide voting against them, more than even Diebold can overcome. Then we can legislate a verifiable ballot.

5. A few percentage resulted in 3 million + votes in 2004` |
|
They shaved votes for Bush where he was expected to win (and did), and they shaved votes for Bush where Kerry was expected to win, and did.
And as for swamping Diebold with our sheer numbers, no. They can absolutely rig the counting routines so that that simply can't happen -- the bigger the total numbers, the bigger the numbers for Bush.
Paper ballots are the ONLY --I repeat, ONLY -- safe harbor for our votes.

7. Hate to say it, but paper ballots aren't coming back! |
|
Any State that spent millions on electronic voting machines isn't going to scrap them! The best shop we have is to force some kind of auditablt paper trail. It's not going to be easy because of the "secret ballot requirement" but I'm sure it can be done. We need to hammer this very hard NOW because the response is going to be, sorry, we don't have enough time to change anything! I don't know if it's possible to change things for the 2006 elections, but 3 1/2 years is sure enough time to make a change of ANY kind!
Don't let this one die!

12. Who said anything about scrapping them? |
|
But if The People made enough noise, they WOULD scrap them no matter how much they cost.
The middle ground, you understand, is NOT an "auditable paper trail" but a voter-verified paper BALLOT to go along with those million dollar machines.

10. People can explain away.. |
|
.... exit polling that is a couple percent off.
They cannot explain away exit polling that is 10% off. I stand by my opinion :)

6. There's nothing to be afraid of right now. |

A meeting in a broom closet by a bunch of anti-Bush administration extremists, so what? This news is old. The same people keep making the same accusations. Only one variable ever changes: they get a new, unfortunate mother of a deceased member of the armed-services. They can't sin with facts, so they go for pity. These people should be ashamed. We have a war to win. Can't we just get past all of this rancor and division?
And so forth . . .
Until the above narrative is ignored and/or drowned out, I don't see this story getting too much serious consideration. It is so easy for them to muddy the waters with the media the way it is. All they have to do is dodge and obscure, and the populace will lose interest (if they ever even find interest), which means the media will lose $$$, which means the story goes away.

8. For whatever reason, the BFEE et. al. is fair game. |

They've failed their handlers. The whole kit and kaboodle is relying on a Rove save and he has to ask the handlers for permission. They won't give him anything drastic enough to turn it around. Look forward to another Ford administration. It wasn't so bad, it gave us another 30 years to breathe.

They don't have a leg to stand on and they know it. They won't speak until they are forced to and then there will be false bravado. They've been caught in a lie, and the whole world knows it.
