Ford: "It doesn't matter now, we are there and if the pResident knew what he knows now, i'm SURE he wouldn't have pursued this 'mission'."

1. Harold Ford is a liar, and a democrat in name only.
There is no question about Harold Ford's alliegances. Your "pResident" knew everything he knew then, and continues to know everything he knew then.

64. from the transcript:
MATTHEWS: Were we right to go to Iraq, Congressman?

FORD: That question is irrelevant. We‘re there and we now have to win.

If all of us had 20/20 vision back then about where we would be now, I doubt the president would have won authorization.

His criminal relatives have taken care of any chance he ever had of being elected dogcather in Tennessee. He's just trying to pretend he's got a snowball's chnace (forgive me) of getting elected in a redneck backward tobaccer-chawin' dumbass state like that.

Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 07:51 PM by FreedomAngel82
I don't apprecaite what you said about my state. We're not that red you know. My town can go either way and I'm on the east side. 1997-2001 we had a democratic mayor. 2001-2005 we had a republican mayor and now we have an independent mayor. Plus our governor is democratic and he was two-time mayor of Nashville (a red area).

46. I apologize, but I'm from Georgia, and I am sick of the Red South
I am tired of the redneck hatred that our South has displayed in the last 10 years. I have written the South off to the point that I have bought a home in Central America and am now spending half the year there. At least down there they have no rednecks who hate, no Republicans who hate, and no denial from the remainder of the population. I didn't mean to offend - I am a native Southerner - but I am sick and tired of what the South has become - once again.

It voted blue in 2004. All the big cities did, including Knoxville. However, Knox County voted red, so it turned the whole county red - but Davidson is Blue.

Oh.. and by the way, you people on this thread can bitch about Harold all you want, but he's the only Dem that has a shot in hell of winning the state, so I'm supporting him. Better to be represented 90 percent of the time than never.

He said he won't be inviting Dean to his campaign any. Fuck that, he can go to Kurtia if she wants him. Maybe if enough people jump onto Kurita's bandwagon Dean can come down and show his support for her. I think DFA could really help her with campaigning around the state and maybe even EMILY's list with financing if she needs help.

As a Tennessean, I honestly think that I deserve better. He's provided cover for the lying Bush** even during the presidential campaign. He's voted for some of the worst of Bush**'s policies, but I'm just supposed to fall in line and fawn over him.

Way back I listened to him and thought "what a rising star in the Dem Party". As I listened more I thought "house boy or black lawn ornament". I cannot stomach this type. How dare he shit both on this party and on the Black community with his "yesss mastah" shit. He should be rejected by both white, black and any other racial elements of the Dem party. Even asshole Imus doesn't have him on anymore. I once hoped he was going to the run for Senator..now I pray he doesn't because we don't need any more goddamn Liebermans or Clarence Thomases in D.C. You might as well vote him out of office in TN because he will only be another Repuke anyway.

70. I think it was a smart reply.
Bush has said that knowing everything that he knows now, he would have still went to war.

We need to separate Bush from the ones that were honestly misled. There isn't enough evidence that average-Joe American knows about yet. He doesn't know what WE do (about the DSM and other evidence).

Getting across the perception that no one in their right mind would do this (war) if they knew beforehand.. then proving that Bush and the neocons knew beforehand... is the key to ending the neocon's dream.
