Bush's Approval Ratings Stay Low
CBS) President George W. Bush's job approval rating is now just 42 percent, and most Americans think he does not share their priorities.

Iraq and the economy -- not the President's signature issue of Social Security -- are most important to Americans, and Americans' assessments of both remain mixed, with support for the decision to send troops to Iraq matching its lowest percent ever.

Regarding Social Security, months of campaigning have not brought public acceptance of the personal accounts the President desires, nor resulted in increased confidence in his ability to make the right decisions about that program. In fact, many Americans claim they like Bush's plan less the more they hear about it.

2. The most interesting thing in this article is THIS quote by the MSM
Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 06:50 PM by Singular73
"However, the President retains the approval of some key constituent groups. More than 8 in ten Republicans approve of the job he is doing, unchanged in the past month, as do about 7 in ten white evangelical Christians. About two in three conservatives approve of him. "

Now, interested reader, what is interesting about this quote?

First one that gets it, gets a cookie.

6. less Ev Christoids back him than regular pugs?
I give up, otherwise

he's losing ground among the real mouthbreathers, which is interesting, and almost counterintuitive

what's he doing to P them off?

11. For those who don't know what Dean said,
Dean said MOST AMERICANS don't agree with the republican party and the religious right.

The fact that "More than 8 in ten Republicans approve of the job he is doing, unchanged in the past month, as do about 7 in ten white evangelical Christians. About two in three conservatives approve of him." and his approval rating is in the low 40s means that MOST AMERICANS DON'T AGREE with the republican party and the religious right.

Which means Dean was right.

And Michael Moore said it in one of his books years ago, too.

15. I don't believe the 8 in 10 Pubs agree with Shrub number.
I've heard way too many Pubs here in Ga. change their support becaue something in the economy is directly affecting them now.

Womething is wront with that 8/10 statement. Maybe it's 8 in 10 Pub extremists, or wealth Pugs, but something doesn't feel right about the generalization of "Rebuplicans" as a group.

9. No no no no no
The point is not that the White Christian Evangelists support Bush, its that Dean framed, characterized, etc.. the White Christian Evangelist voting base, which the MSM is now picking up, AND USING.

Dean Framed the Arguement :)

Its a wonderful thing :)

14. ABC world news tonight said congress' rating is at 33%
Of course, they didn't mention the DSM hearing, they were talking about Iraq and how it's getting uncomfortable in the W.H. They showed a few remarks by Sleezy too; she said "Be patient." Yeah right, be patient for what??? The next war????
