Not before 20 years or so at least. If talking about any minority that would be true. The demographics nationwide are changing, and whites will lose majority status soon. We should hopefully be seeing a fairer representation of all minorities in that time, with the possibilility of a president who is most likely African-American or Latino. As far as female, it may be sooner than that, but she will most likely be white.

3. Racism is the mother's milk of American society |

It won't happen until America abandons barbarism and embraces Socialism.

4. Embracing Socialism will bring economic disaster |
|
Capitalism may have it's problems, but it is the system of government I prefer. I think people should focus on personal responsibility rather then aid from the government.

5. We used to live in a Democracy, not a Capitalacracy<---huh? |

Socialism and Capitalism are economic systems, not necessarily systems of governments.

brings health care to all Americans, homeless to the poor, etc. It really takes away from Personal Responsibility. I like the other system because it makes you work to get rewarded rather then being rewarded for being a slacker.

8. Tell that to all the "slackers" as you called them that have been laid off |
|
How many jobs have been lost thanks to capital seeking to maximize its profits? Let's see how well you can manage as a Greeter at Wall Mart, as one of the laid off workers says in the following story: Plant's closing to hit entire community hard (Indiana - 800 jobs) http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=114&topic_id=1492

People get layed off all the time, but the thing you should do is go out and find another job. What do you think someone who has been layed off deserve? 8 months of no work with pay?

10. Problem is that no person is an Island. |
|
We live in a society and as such have responsibilities in that area as well. A health care system simular to Canada's would be a nice start. BTW: Stupid answer, what do you think, people actually like being without work. It's not about personal responsibility, but the responsibility of all. If you lose your job, and no others are availuable that you can live on, what are you to do? Beg or starve?

6. well, Chinese pres Jiang Zemin visited the white house in 1997 |
|
and i'm sure he was far from the first Asian president to do so. ... hmmm... Chiang Kai-Shek visited the white house in 1958... those are just a couple... i would think that Asian heads of state pass thru the white house on a regular basis...
oh, you meant an Asian president of the US?
i dunno, but i suspect that if it happens, it'll happen via a non-conventional route. either by succession with an Asian VP taking over after an impeachment or assassination (or other unusual crisis), or with some Asian general in a Powell-like or Clark-like position, deciding to enter politics.
