Please understand that I hope SJL can do some good in DC during this troubled time, but realize that what you see on TV is only a slick veneer. The woman is not my idea of a wise or principled representative.

Below are a couple of links. The Houston Press story is particularly revealing.

I have an audio tape I made of a totally bogus "call-in" show she did on Houston local access cable in 1996. It was bogus in that the "callers" were obviously just people standing off-camera rattling off written questions for SJL to answer, yet she played it as though it was genuine. It was so blatantly obvious that I felt personally insulted, and taped a re-broadcast of the show. Such misrepresentation is, as near as I could determine, a violation of FCC 73.1208.
